It’s Movember!

The month of the year when Men’s Health is catapulted in to the spotlight.

It’s set up to raise awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

In the past Carl has joined in by growing a “mo for a bro”.

But this year he’s decided to do something a little different to raise awareness of the Movember Foundation, but in particular the work they do around suicide prevention.

Anyone who knows Carl, knows he absolutely loves his bread. He has two or three slices with every meal. So for the whole of November he will abstain from the loaf, as he does his little bit to raise awareness for the cause.

He has also signed up to run 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour.

To find out more about Movember and the work the Foundation does then take a look at their website.

A Bury Grandmother – who set up a group to help parents afford school uniforms – says the Government needs to do more to help.

MP’s have been debating how they can reduce the cost for families – with one idea being removing VAT on school uniforms.

Angella Orrell has been telling Carl about her project and how the Government need to do a lot more.
